Born in San Diego, where he attended Lincoln High School. Went on to San Diego City College prior to enrolling at the University of Oregon, where he played both offensive and defensive halfback.

Presently a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California and a member of the San Diego Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He has been a Broker since 1985 and has routinely continued his real estate education by attending qualified continuing education courses sanctioned by the Department of Real Estate.
